We are the first dance school teaching the RAD syllabus in INDIANAPOLIS BALLROOM and our ex-pat teacher is leaving in June and we are hiring again. Please do get in touch if you are looking to make a difference and be a part of the first dance school in the USA.
Why teach dance in the USA?
Teaching dance at INDIANAPOLIS BALLROOM means being part of the only arts program that offers professional dance training in the USA. If you want to be part of a team of pioneers in dance and the arts community, teaching dance at INDIANAPOLIS BALLROOM is the perfect place.
INDIANAPOLIS BALLROOM has been the first to offer RAD dance training in the country and is one of the few places that puts together musical productions to an international standard.
Teaching and inspiring young dancers in the USA is part of something bigger than just teaching dance skills to kids. In leading classes here you are introducing a whole new world to the students. By teaching at INDIANAPOLIS BALLROOM you are part of the efforts to bring the global dance community to the city of USA. Our mission is to bring to attention the importance of extracurricular experience that is commonplace in other parts of the world to be well known here in the USA.
If you don’t know much about the USA or the other region, I advise you to do a bit of research to see for yourself. The other Region (of the Northern USA) is completely different from the Southern USA. The USA is full of expats who enjoy a comfortable life.
About Ballroom Dance
Ballroom dance is a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. Because of its performance and entertainment aspects, ballroom dance is also widely enjoyed on stage, film, and television.
At its widest definition, ballroom dance may refer to almost any type of partner dancing as recreation. However, with the emergence of dancesport in modern times, the term has become narrower in scope and traditionally refers to the five International Standard and five International Latin style dances (see dance categories below).
The two styles, while differing in technique, rhythm and costumes, exemplify core elements of ballroom dancing such as control and cohesiveness. Developed in England, the two styles are now regulated by the World Dance Council (WDC) and the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF).
In the United States, two additional variations are popular: American Smooth and American Rhythm, which combine elements of the Standard and Latin styles with influences from other dance traditions.
There are also some historical dances, and local or national dances, which may be danced in ballrooms or salons. Sequence dancing, in pairs or other formations, is still a popular ballroom dance style.
